Garbo’s newly designed fruit bowls, Fenghuolun and Lucky Cloud Series, have been exceptionally well appreciated by South American Market. These designs, developed by Garbo, draw inspiration from Chinese cultural elements. The Fenghuolun, a magic weapon of Nezha in Chinese mythology, is shaped like a small wheel, symbolizing swift and distant travel. The Lucky Cloud, a magic weapon of the Monkey King, also signifies good fortune in Chinese culture. Both series feature engraved patterns and are produced in various colors and molds, aligning with current South American fashion trends. By blending Chinese and South American cultures, these two series introduce a fresh perspective to the glassware market.
Leon Lee, the CEO of the Garbo Glassware, whose products are awarded “the Most Cultural Creativity Prize”, is reported by Guangzhou News, says On August 4, 2025 “This two series combine the wisdom of Garbo’s 5 departments, more than 100 personnel and 50 customers from South America. This decision proves totally right.”
“This idea first came out two years ago: What if we combine different cultures into our Garbo new products to show global friendship in one whole world? ” recalled by Leon , “Then we start our long term work.”
The R&D Department initiated the process by identifying the fashion elements of the glassware in China and South America through industry data in about 10 countries and areas, including conducting the market researches, field trip in different places and collecting the information.
More than 10 sale specialists with experience and profession engaged with 50 customers from South America. Their collaborative efforts focused on specific requirements, actively listening to customer feedback, and gaining a deep understanding of market demands.
After R&D Department and Sales Department collect the detailed information to Design Department, they integrate the sources and put forward more than 20 models in one year. The three departments have held more than 20 meetings with the factory on function, shape, color, culture, craftsmanship, quality, aesthetics, practicality, and food safety standards about the new glassware series.
Fehling, the manager of the Design Department, commented, “The entire company spent two years to open the these two models, everyone was thoughtful and I think it was worth the effort.”
“A journey of a hundred miles begins with a single step. Not everyone will finally reach the destination. The most difficulty thing is to put these 2 different models into the mass production, I think. At that time, I frequently visited the factory to check the final products and we maintained the close communication with our factory to make sure to produce in a high quality. Although we have experience in dealing those problems, it’s still not very easy.” said Leon Lee, “The Department of Quality Control has identified several issues like engraved patterns not deep enough, some particles on fruit bowls, unfavorable weather conditions for producing the fruit bowls holders. And customers who have order 10HQ are urging us to delivery the 2HQ new glassware on time. They see our models, give a test to their market and find that Fenghuolun and Lucky Cloud are very hot selling . They need to occupy the market fast enough.”
“We are the more than 30+ years’ experience glassware industry so we are very skillful to solve the new models problems. We talk about how to avoid those problems with our factory. About the weather, typhoon is very common in Guangzhou but it finally turns out to be good. ” shared by Kim enthusiastically, a professional quality control staff, “We all think that the lucky cloud brings us the lucky. And thanks to we have the experience in glassware more than 30 years. But it still take us some time and resources, of course some money, to consider and improve the models better.”
Department of Quality Control plays an significant role in ensuring the Fenghuolun and Lucky Cloud Series produce on time, completing the task of 2HQ mass production in 55 days.
“The new fruit bowls and plates of Fenghuolun and Lucky Cloud are gorgeous! You make the glassware into the amber color and also gold rim type which are very hot selling in Brazil. I made at least R$100,000 in one month and they are still selling hot.” written in Alexandro’s email dated on July 22nd, one of the old customers of Garbo, owning a large supermarket chain in South American Area.
Meyer, whose business is in Argentina, provides the feedback in her email in July 30th “Thanks to your ion plating craftsmanship so that the amber color will never fade away as well as in high quality and my customers love them. The gold rim is also very perfect enough. I need to order another 2 HQ for my business. If you have new models next time, please inform me as fast as possible.”
