Last year China went beyond France and became the world’s largest glassware exporter. In recent year, the quality and appearance design of china's glassware products have reached middle and high grade level of Czech Republic, Poland and other Eastern European countries, the overall status of which is also rising, to different degrees, and the price of which also increases corresponding to export volume growth. From Jan to Feb this year, the total export amounted to 192 million U.S dollars, a year-on-year increase of 49%.
All we all know, artificial glassware manufacturing industry is always dominated by Europe. From the late 80s and 90s of last century, the world artificial glassware production center began to shift. China's glassware industry tightly grasps this chance once in a blue. Since 2000, china's glassware industry has undergone tremendous changes, and the quality and appearance design of china's glassware products have reached middle and high grade level of Czech Republic,Poland and other Eastern European countries.
Along with the improvement of living standards, people have higher demand to home environment. In recent years, the rich Chinese people's need of artificial glassware is getting higher and higher. Therefore, the imported glassware is continuously growing. Customs statistics shows that the imported glassware in 2006 was 57 million U.S dollars, an increase of 12.7%. From Jan to Feb this year, the total imports of glassware reached 11.84 million U.S dollars, a year-on-year increase of 93%, which realizing the imported growth exceeded exported growth. These statistics didn’t include the glassware that were brought by Chinese people from traveling abroad.
