Why glassware will be broken suddenly
As glassware is our daily using material, such as glass cups, glass mugs, glass vases, glass candy pots, double wall glassware ect., Sometimes when we use these glassware, but it will be broken suddenly, do you have any ideas about that why?
1.Firstly it’s because of glassware swell after is heating uneven. When we put hot liquid at glassware, it’s side wall will be heating, but it’s uneven because of inside of glassware will be heating immediately but outside still need time to be heating. So inside will be swell but ourside will keep normal, then glassware can not support so it will be broken.
2. It’s not to said that if more thick, glassware will be better. If thicker glassware will be more easy to be broken, because of if glassware is more thinner, heating will be same same from inside to ourside quickly, so temperature will be balance faster at both sides. Swell will not be so seriously, so actually for thinner glassware will be not easy for broken easily.
3. If getting cold suddenly, it will be have same same situation as heating because it have the same reason. So if for our normal soda-lime glassware, it’s better that don’t put hot or cold liquid immediately to make glassware broken.
