For general open glass, direct liquid glass is stamped with a mold, which is relatively simple and straightforward.
The principle of double-layer glass is actually a bit like making two cups, the inner layer and the outer layer are nested inside each other.
The structure is more complicated and cannot be taken out directly from the mold, like the Starbucks cat claw cup which was very hot in the first half of the year. The inner and outer layers of this cup are made with industrial gas.
First, make a hollow preform. Take ordinary soda bottles as an example. Their initial blanks are liquid glass that enters a conical mold and is extruded into a hollow inverted triangular cone.
Then let the preform be placed in a specially shaped mold, and blow-molded against the hollow position of the preform with industrial gas spray. When the mold is left and right, a special shape inner layer can be obtained.
The outer structure can be obtained in the same way, it will be larger than the outer layer.
After the outer glass and the inner glass are finished, the outer glass and the inner glass must be merged.
The left and right chucks fix the inner and outer single-layer glass cups and combine them with each other.
The left and right chucks started to maintain the same speed. Using two layers of glass at the mouth of the high-temperature melting cup, the two cups gradually melted together.
After blending together, smooth the glass wall with a uniform flame.
When you look at the double glass, there will be a small dot on the bottom. Many people have misunderstood this issue because this is really not a flaw!
This is because if the inner cavity of the double-glazed glass is sealed first during the manufacturing process, the heated air expands easily and burst easily. Therefore, the outer cup usually has no back cover, and most of them will leave a hole or tube.
The glass produced by the assembly line will be evacuated through this tube, and then the back cover will be fused.
The pipe was broken and the flame melted the bottom. At this point, the cup will still rotate at a constant speed and flattened with a flat tool.
After fabrication, the glass is annealed to prevent bursting. Then there is quality inspection, leaving the factory, and it becomes a glass that we use every day.
