Pulished on Jul. 29, 2020

Normally glassware have 2 defects, one is apparent defect and other is latent defect. Apparent defect is all the defects which we can observe by eyes, but latent defect is not so obvious so it need measuring tools or experiment then can know it. Defects of glassware also can be melt defect and manufacturer defect. The melt defect means the defect of glassware raw material, it have bubble bag, stone, stripe, color difference ect., these defected are happened because of the poor melt of glassware raw material. And the manufacturer defect means the defects happened when manufacturing. Such as broken line, scratch, out of shape, ect., normally these are apparent defect as we mentioned before. But latent defect indicate homogeneity, annealing and stability. Apparent defect mainly affect glassware’s shape but latent defect affect glassware’s quality better or worst.

Here will have many different defect of glassware, and the original reasons are different too. Sometimes if for one of the defects, it will have many original reasons, but actually all these defects are happened during the manufacturer process. So when a defect happened, we can not only analyze it by one reason, we need to know well the before and after manufacturer condition.

So how to less defect? Firstly we will control strictly the manufacturer process to less glasssware’s defect and besides, if It’s happened, we will select the defected one to ensure good quality for our clients.
